The Jordanville Federated Church is concluding its series of "Literary Teas" in the Social Hall of the church at 209 Main Street Jordanville. Come enjoy an afternoon of a traditional High Tea (three courses) and readings of short stories. “April Foolishness” is the theme of the first reading selected being the next edition of the Flamingo Tales of Le Roy, NY, “Ernest‘s Birds,” by Lynne Belluscio. Our second story is a fictional guided tour of the Washington and Lee College Chapel entitled “Docent,” by Robert T. Smith All are encouraged to attend. A free-will offering will be taken and divided between the church and the Jordanville Public Library. This series of “Literary Teas” will restart in Oct. and run every other month throughout the winter, concluding next April.

The Oppenheim Ephratah Alumni Association will be sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner at the Oppenheim Methodist Church, on Route 29 in Oppenheim. Take outs will be available until 6:30. The price of the dinner will be $8 for adults, $6 for ages 5 to 12 and under 5 will be free.
