Big Breakfast Buffet

From 8:00AM to 11:00AM

The Herkimer County Habitat for Humanity will sponsor a Big Breakfast Buffet at the Herkimer VFW on Mohawk St. Herkimer. The breakfast will include donuts, french toast, eggs, sausage, applesauce, home fries and a beverage. Adults - $6.00 in advance/$6.50 at door and children (under 12) $4.00. Antique Outboard Motor Club Swap Meet

From 8:00AM to 1:00PM

The third annual swap meet of the Mohawk Hudson Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc. is to be held on the grounds of Knapikā€™s Marine in Amsterdam, at 197 Forest Avenue, off Route 67 East, approximately 2 miles from New York Thruway Exit 27. The Swap Meet, which is one of the major activities of Chapters, is an event where members and non-members can meet to buy, sell and trade parts, motors and memorabilia involving Antique (pre 1950) and Classic (1950 through 1980) Outboard Motors, Boats and related items. In addition, advice and assistance in restoration projects can be acquired by attendees from the various people at the meet. There will also be displays of motors in original condition or restored condition by members.

Dolgeville Girl Scout Craft Fair

Dolgeville Girl Scouts are hosting their first Craft Fair to help to help the girls earn money to go on trips! Over fifty vendors, at the Dolgeville Central School. If anyone would like to be a vendor they can call Mackenzie 315-429-7032 Stop out and support the Girl Scouts

World Tai Chi & Qigong Day

From 10:00AM to 11:00AM

Promoting world health thru gentle movements and breathing. This starts in New Zealand at 10 a.m. and circles the globe thru each time zone starting @ 10a.m. The Leatherstocking Tai Chi group will be holding a demonstration @ the German Flatts Town Park on Rt 5S @ 10 a.m. on April 28. Come see what Tai Chi is all about. Join us. Have fun, ask questions.

Dress Giveaway

From 11:00AM to 2:00PM

The Frankfort Free Library is hosting a Prom/Special Occasion dress giveaway on Saturday, April 28th from 11:00 - 2:00. We already have several dresses, but can always use more for the girls to choose from. Dresses can be dropped off at the library during library hours. Any questions, contact 894-9611.

Fritter Supper

From 4:30PM to 7:30PM

The Sixteenth Annual Fritter Supper held in the Social Hall of Jordanville Federated Church, 209 Main Street, Jordanville. Fritters with Real Maple Syrup, Scalloped Potatoes with Ham, Green Beans, Coleslaw, Applesauce and Lemon or Strawberry Chiffon make up the menu. For those who have never had them, Fritters are a batter that is deep fried. They form irregularly shaped balls like a deep fried pancake, that when covered in maple syrup, the sweetest harbinger of spring, are simply delicious. Adults, $8.50; Children under 12, $4.50; Children under 5, Free. Take outs add $.50 container fee.

Haitian Celebration

Saturday, April 28 from 5-7 pm, Bert Rappole and Mary Rappole from the United Methodist Church of Panama, NY will share the progress they've made on their many trips to Haiti over the past twelve years. There will be speakers, authentic Haitian dinner, and live Haitian music. Located at the Sauquoit Valley United Methodist Church on Mohawk and Pinnacle Streets, Sauquoit.
