From 4:00PM to 5:00PM

Herkimer Home State Historic Site will host the special presentation with Gretchen Sullivan Sorin, Ph.D., Director and Distinguished Service Professor of the Cooperstown Graduate Program.

Americans in the 18th century avoided water which could often be tainted and embraced spirituous beverages. Included in the price of the presentation is the tasting of a variety of 18th century wines, Haymakers' Switchel, a non-alcoholic drink, and Tavern Biscuits made from an 18th century recipe. To participate in the wine tasting, you must be at least 21 years of age.

Tickets for this presentation are $15. Reservations are required. Please call the site at 315-823-0398 to make a reservation. Seating is limited to 30 guests. This program benefits internship projects for Herkimer Home State Historic Site.
