Fort Klock is having a Revolutionary War Encampment October 1st and 2nd. Free parking and free admission. Camps and 18th century life demonstrations, music and story telling. Kids activities, 18th century toys and games, militia drill and much more. Historic Fort Klock is on Route 5 in St. Johnsville. Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-4.

The North Bush United Methodist Church of Caroga Lake is hosting its annual Roast Beef Dinner, at the Wheelerville Union Free School. Roast beef & gravy, mashed potatoes, squash, beans, applesauce, coleslaw, rolls, beverages and desserts, served family style. Adults $12; kids 6-12, $5; 5 and under, free. Takeouts available. Open to the public.

The 23rd annual Italian Buffet will be held at St. John’s Church Hall, North Main Street in Newport. Homemade lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs, chicken riggies, salad, bread, beverage, and dessert. Adults $10; children 6-12 $5; 5 and under free, takeouts available. All proceeds used to fund local charitable works.

The 1st annual “Trucking For a Cure” Golf Scramble will be held at Stonebridge Golf & Country Club in New Hartford, to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Registration is limited—contact Kelly Colvin at 315-368-4712. The Scramble includes lunch, contests, auctions, raffles, and dinner. Auction baskets or items accepted.
