Bug Country's 9th annual HALO Hoedown, to benefit Helping Animals Live Organization. NEW LOCATION: VFW, Mohawk Street, Herkimer, across from Fastrac. 5 great bands: Fulton Chain Gang, Grit 'n' Grace, Moonshine Junkies, Lonesome Dove, & Tompkins Drive. $7 admission, veterans and active military get in FREE. The 17th annual Sundae on the Farm will take place at Honorone Farm in Ames. This family-friendly event is free to attend and is great for children of all ages. Take a ride around the cow pasture in a horse drawn carriage, spend some time in the petting zoo learning about the barnyard animals, take a tour of the farm and enjoy a free ice cream sundae! There will also be live demonstrations, farmers market, milking contest, face painting and much much more!
