The St. Johnsville American Legion, 38 West Main Street, has scheduled sign-ups for the 2018 Legion baseball season . Area players between the ages of 13 and 19 are invited and individuals interested in coaching are also welcome.

Additionally, customers who donate slightly used children's books to the Literacy Coalition of Herkimer and Oneida County EZRead Bookshelf program will receive a free recipe and a store discount. If you’re a snowmobiler and want to have some fun, put on your bathing suit....yes, your bathing suit, and join the annual winter FUN fundraiser for HALO: “Snowmobiles And Bathing Suits!” Snowmobilers pay a dollar a lap—while wearing their bathing suit—and ride around the track 3 times. The public is welcome to watch the fun. It’s put on each year by Howard & Diane Chapple, at 293 Elizabethtown Road in Ilion. There’s a 50-50, and please bring a cat food or litter donation.
